Insider info
Sam Patterson favored — picked against Santiago Ponzinibbio lean UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Guskov · July 19, 2026
strikingsolid
Picked against, on the reasoning that his grappling doesn't hold up to the opponent's and he needs to land clean on the feet early and often to win.
A solid, more technical striker whose career the analyst says was never quite the same after a serious injury years ago, even though he's returned to competent form. Moves well, weaving in and out of range effectively, has both volume and power, and a working leg kick. Decent grappling used mostly defensively, with decent takedown defense, though it's not expected to keep pace with this specific opponent's grappling.
Strengthmoves well, weaving in and out of range effectively
Strengthboth volume and power available

Weaknessgrappling is defensive-only and not expected to match up with this opponent
