You must be of legal age
This site is for adults only: 18+, or 21+ where your jurisdiction requires it. Sports betting is illegal in some places and restricted in many others, and it is your responsibility to know the law where you are.
What this site is not
Bout Scout is a simulation and a scoreboard. It does not take bets, hold money, or accept accounts, and it is not paid by any sportsbook. Nothing it publishes is advice, and the "picks" and "stakes" it shows exist to score the model's own performance by a consistent public method — not to tell you what to do with your money.
Assume you will lose. Sportsbooks price fights with a built-in margin, and on the fights we have measured, the closing market identifies winners more often than our simulation does. A model that publishes its misses honestly is still a model. Never bet money you need, and never bet to recover money you have lost.
Warning signs
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably lose.
- Chasing losses — increasing stakes to get back to even.
- Borrowing money, or hiding the extent of your betting from people close to you.
- Betting to escape stress, boredom or low mood rather than for enjoyment.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
If more than one of those is familiar, the helplines at the top of this page are staffed by people who will not judge you, and the call costs nothing.
Practical tools
- Self-exclusion. Every licensed sportsbook must offer it, and most jurisdictions run a scheme covering all operators at once. It works.
- Deposit and time limits. Set them when you are calm, not when you are chasing.
- Blocking software. Gamban and GAMSTOP (UK) block gambling sites at the device or account level.
- Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org.
Leaving
If you would rather not see betting content here, you are welcome to simply close the site — there is no account to cancel and no email you will keep getting unless you asked for one, in which case the unsubscribe link in it works immediately. If you are on our alert list and want off it now, write to hello@bout-scout.com and we will remove you the same day.
