Insider info
Alessandro Costa favored — picked against Matt Schnell lean UFC Fight Night: Muhammad vs Bonfim · May 30, 2026
grapplingdecent
Picked against mostly on durability grounds, with the analyst explicitly noting that if the fight somehow reaches a decision, this fighter likely outpoints his opponent instead.
Good grappler overall, though not great specifically with takedowns -- scrambles well, is super opportunistic with submissions, and stays highly active off his back, though he struggles to dictate where the fight takes place on his own terms; his defense against takedowns isn't much better. On the feet: good combinations, sharp counter-punching, and more volume than this specific opponent, a real relative advantage. The recurring, decisive problem is durability -- has been hurt repeatedly and knocked out brutally more than once, a real pattern the analyst treats as the deciding factor in this matchup.
Strengthgood combinations and good counter-punching, more volume than this opponent
Strengthsuper opportunistic submissions and very active off his back
Weaknesstakedowns are not a real strength, and his defense against them isn't much better either
Weaknessrecurring, serious durability problem -- has been knocked out brutally more than once
