Mesquita doesn't bring much on the feet beyond leg kicks, and that's by design, since striking is just there to set up her real game on the mat. Her wrestling is strong, built around single and double legs, and once she's on top her ground-and-pound is genuinely good, often good enough to make opponents turn and give up the back. From there she's a dedicated rear-naked-choke hunter.
