Picked on the reasoning that his finishing ability on the mat exceeds that of a previous elite grappler who dominated this same opponent, while acknowledging real uncertainty.
Decent striking -- good leg kick, good overhand, decent boxing combinations -- but genuinely outmatched in the pure striking department here, not abysmal, just clearly behind. The real strength is a genuinely solid grappling game, with two specific, established ways he gets takedowns: off the cage, or by catching kicks, rather than pure open-space shots. Excellent control once on top -- specifically praised for patiently sitting in half guard until ready to finish -- with very good top-side chokes (an arm triangle and a single-arm guillotine both singled out as elite, near-unbeatable finishing tools), using ground and pound mainly to set those chokes up rather than as a primary damage source.
