Insider info
Asu Almabayev favored over Charles Johnson lean UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs Torres · June 21, 2026
grapplingsolid
Picked with real uncertainty -- the analyst says he could be totally wrong, favoring a repeat-takedown path to a decision over the more technical striker.
A decent striker with real power who spins more than the analyst would like, though the spins that land are worth the risk. The clear strength is a solid grappling game: powerful and varied takedowns, a good back-take, good ground and pound, and a good choke arsenal. The analyst's read is that the path to victory is simple -- rinse and repeat takedowns without getting overzealous, since the opponent is tough enough to survive to a decision otherwise.
