Lucas Fernando favored over Rafael Tobias clear UFC 330 · August 12, 2026
strikingsolid wrestlingpoor

He expects Fernando to win at a very high rate and says the only thing stopping him from calling it a lock is doubt about the takedown defence. Strong, with one named condition.

Comfortably the better striker in the matchup and the analyst does not treat that as close. The game is built off a stiff jab he plants in opponents' faces, which he works into combinations and then into a genuinely accomplished kicking arsenal aimed at whatever level the opponent's height makes available. He picks his moments rather than throwing volume, and counters well. The whole read turns on one question: he is a nightmare when he ends up on top, and he stays busy off his back with submissions and elbows, but he struggles to stand back up and his takedown defence is not good. Everything good about him is conditional on the fight staying where he wants it.
