A good striker whose dirty boxing thrives at close range, where he does his best damage in tight, phone-booth exchanges. He puts together decent combinations, digs to the body, and takes a shot well, though the way he throws his hooks leaves him badly exposed to counters. Range has genuinely given him trouble before -- being the better fighter inside the pocket means little if he can't actually close the gap against a taller opponent working quick kicks and one-two combinations from distance, and that tension is very much live here. He's a capable grappler as well: takedowns set up off his striking, a favorite habit of returning opponents to the mat again and again, and solid back-taking whether the fight is on the ground or against the cage.
